Paragon Manufacturing's Noiseless Steel is a sandwich panel for the damping of structure-borne sound, consisting of two sheets of metal with a plastic inner layer (Metal-Plastic-Metal or MPM), and is available in a wide range of material types, grades, sizes, and thicknesses.

When both sheets of metal are of the same thickness, the system is described as symmetrical. If they are of different thicknesses the system is asymmetrical. Symmetrical MPM systems provide slightly better vibration damping than asymmetrical systems with the same total weight, but the difference is small as long the asymmetry ratio does not exceed 1:4.

MPM panels can also be supplied in special materials, such as stainless steel, aluminum, cold rolled steel, and deep-drawn steel. Different materials can also be combined - for example stainless steel on one side and aluminum on the other. We can prepare material in either mill finish or pre-painted form. Contact corrosion is effectively prevented, since the plastic inner layer isolates the plates from each other.
